Offshore Bake Haus (Big Dada)

Ewan Robertson aka Offshore provides us with a glimpse at a range of his productions; roughly circling the dubstep and hip hop genres, he ties together emotive synths, inspired samples and glitchy computer fuzz. Brief highlights include ?Venom? with it?s punchy rhythm and deep bass, ?Black Bun? for the affecting string and slide guitar samples and ?Downer? for the melancholy flute and sheer epic feel. At times it does feel as though the fine line between ?avant garde? and ?half finished? is crossed, but the full album in the new year will answer any doubts. For now the quality of production and range of styles makes this a mandatory listen.
