House committee cuts portions of proposed gaming law - Fox 59 News

Indiana?s gaming industry suffered a setback Wednesday.? A House committee cut out portions of a proposed gaming law that would allow live table games at Racinos and let riverboat casinos move on land.

Opponents said live table games are unnecessary and could possibly hurt casinos on Indiana?s borders.

Those in support of the change feel bringing in dealers would create new jobs and make Indiana casinos more attractive.

Lawmakers said this bill could be debated in the final days of the session next month when the House and Senate try to hammer out differences on this and other bills.
