Texas Tech signee Stephen Smith was named to the first team for the Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State Baseball team released Thursday. Smith, who played right field, led the Tigers to the District 4-4A championship and a deep playoff run by hitting .424 with two home runs and 12 doubles with 44 runs scored. Teammate Cade Davis, a senior outfielder, and Plainview senior second baseman Will Bass were named to the third team.
